Skunk Black
My favourite of his solo albums. The first side rattles along like a train going downhill, culminating in the 'scary' "Chamber of Horrors" complete with screams! The highlight for me is B1, "Birdman of Alcatraz" which I know that he has re-recorded on other albums but for my money this is the best version. The next track - "The Breathalyser" replete with Goodie Bill Oddie's vocal "talents" - is a bit daft, but then we come the haunting closer, "Judas Iscariot" which like his "Anne Boleyn" on the "Six Wives..." album also features a sample from a hymn, this time "There is a Green Hill Far Away".
Good album.
