The Flaming Lips used to be punks!!! A sonically maladjusted, enjoyable EP that's very reminiscent of what the Butthole Surfers did around this time, with a surf rock and Doors influence in the guitars and vocals. Definitely not a good introduction to the band that turned "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" and "Do You Realize?" into arena-packing cult hits, but very fun and IT COMES WITH WAYNE COYNE'S AUTOGRAPH. As music, it's a C+, as a historical artyfact, it's a B+.
As of a couple of days ago (at least), Waterloo in Austin had a bunch...
It was available to independent record stores for Xmas eve. If you did not manage to pick one up you are pretty much out of luck unless you want to get it here or ebay.
