Notes
Hand painted cases with printed labels. Includes insert with toe illustration on front, and text on back that reads:
"I present to you: a toe. One side soft, the other hard. Both bloodied by a grand piano, which fell upon my foot while playing music on a porch under the starry sky of a western Virginia summer night. I howled with pain and surprise while the mighty eyes of the constellation Ursus Major blazed down at me. “Foolish human! you are lucky to still have your toe at all. Now, on the night the nail separates from the digit, hold it aloft to me, for I will transform it into a claw for you to play guitar with.” When the nail came undone, I offered it to the sky, and the bear’s promise was fulfilled. From this day forth, the sounds of my guitar echo with an ursine power, and each string quivers with thanks that my feet remain intact.
Released Nov 1, 2016, Ape Tape 2: Star Bear features Monica on vocals (Pad side, song two) and some inspiration must be credited to a novel by Rafi Zabor.
