Wendall Parker & The Cape Ann Kings - My Loves On Ration / Finally Made The Break Album

Just to verify the accurate history behind this forgotten Wigan Casino instrumental. It pressed by Daly City Bob Catteneo. Lifted from a cassette tape of a recording of Four Seasons - UK Stereo LP that only played the instrumental channel, on an especially adapted record player, in Kettering, Northants circa 1976. There is and never was an acetate. Just a poor cassette recording taken from a "doctored" record player.

As shown in the videos section. This is in fact the backing track to the 4 seasons - dawn (don't go away) - Philips. It's actually a better record despite being a unissued acetate (probably via Bob Crewe). The giveaway is right at the beginning as when started you'll hear the sound of it starting on the recording itself. That said this was a monster at Wigan Casino northern soul allnighter and after.Apart from the dubious recording (obviously from a original acetate) quality it is a pheasant plucker of a sound and only known? way to own, although I think Kev Roberts issued it on a soul supply "northern soul story" records double album.

I Made the original instrumental.from an LP..Both Side and I handed Drums to this .private copy one for me and one for my Brother .and I lent this record to somebody.and they booted it..and I never got my copy back.
